How to Display Related Products Inside a Blog Post on Shopify

This feature is only supported on Elap themes, such as Classique.

This feature allows you to display related products directly within a blog post, making it easier for readers to explore and purchase the items mentioned in your article.
It helps improve the shopping experience and increases conversion rates by connecting editorial content with relevant products.

Create a Metafield for Blog Posts

This metafield will allow you to link a list of products to any specific blog post.

• Go to Shopify Admin → Settings → Metafields and metaobjects → Blog posts.
• Click Add definition to create a new metafield.
• Fill in the details as follows:
  Name: Article related products → Key: custom.article_related_products
  Type: Select Product → List of products
• Click Save to finish.

Add Related Products to a Blog Post

• Go to Content → Blog posts, and open the blog post where you want to add products.
• Scroll down to the Metafields section.
• You’ll see the metafield named Article related products.
• Select the products that are relevant to your article (e.g., products mentioned or featured in the post).

Insert the Shortcode Inside the Blog Content

• In the blog post editor, switch to Show HTML mode.
• Add the following code snippet at the exact position where you want the related product list to appear:

• Save the article.

This snippet acts as a shortcode — your theme will automatically detect it and display the related products that you’ve linked via the metafield.

Preview the Result on Your Website

• Open the blog post on your storefront.
• Scroll to the section where you added the <!--EL-ARTICLE-PRODUCT-LIST--> tag.
• You’ll now see the list of related products displayed beautifully.
